Thunken Philosofers Podcast
Started with my two friends, Isaac and Blake, the Thunken Philosofers has served as a great opportunity for me to hone my skills as a digital marketer. From graphic design to audio production to social media – pretty much everything you see on our website was created by me. The only exceptions would be our logo (which I worked with a graphic designer on) and the show notes (which our cohost Blake writes up into bullet points).

Run For Aimee’s Animal Sanctuary
In late November 2018, a coworker approached me about managing a GoFundMe campaign benefitting a local animal shelter. My coworker, Matthew Hinman, is an ultra runner and he would be running the Across The Years 24 hour race on that New Year’s Eve. The idea was that he would have people pledge a per mile donation to benefit Aimee’s Farm Animal Sanctuary in Gilbert, AZ.
The race was a little more than one month away, so needless to say – we had to hit the ground running!
What I did:
- Wrote up the GoFundMe page
- Set up and managed social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram)
- Collected pledges
At the end of it all, we raised $550 in donations through the GoFundMe page and we helped raise awareness for a wonderful local nonprofit.
